J.V. Satyanarayana Murthy has been unanimously elected as the Chairman, and Chalasani Raghavendra Rao as the Vice-Chairman of Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank (VCB).
According to an official statement released by the bank, Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank is recognized as the largest urban cooperative bank in South India and is ranked among the top 15 urban cooperative banks in the country based on its financial performance.
Following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, VCB acquired the status of a Multi-State Cooperative Society and now operates branches across both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
With a legacy spanning over 110 years, the bank currently has around 1.13 lakh members who have collectively contributed nearly ₹400 crore in share capital.
The election process was initiated on June 16, when the Cooperative Election Authority, appointed by the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies, issued the election notification. The District Collector of Visakhapatnam was designated as the Returning Officer.
