एक क्षेत्र जहां सहकारी समितियों के बीच और सहकारी समितियों, सरकार और अन्य हितधारकों के बीच ‘सह‘ और ‘कार्य’ की आवश्यकता महसूस की गई है, वह है – सहकारी सूचना और संवाद। एक ऐसे मंच की आवश्यकता महसूस की गई है जो सही समय पर और प्रामाणिक जानकारी (authentic information) प्राप्त करने में मदद कर सके, जानकारी आधारित चर्चा (informed discussion) को बढ़ावा दे सके, दूसरों के साथ नेटवर्क बनाने में मदद करे और सहकारी उत्पादकों को बाज़ार एवं उपभोक्ताओं से जोड़ सके।

The cooperative movement in the country has regained focus after Hon’ble Prime Minister created a separate Ministry of Cooperation, with the vision to achieve ‘Sehkaar se Samriddhi’.
While the Government has been taking diverse initiatives, it is the grass root members of the cooperatives and the cooperative leaders who should work together with the Government to make their cooperative a vibrant enterprise. In fact all the 8.5 lakh Indian cooperative societies and their 32 crore members have to work together in cooperation with the Government and the ecosystem to realize the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘सहकार से समृद्धि’, thereby helping themselves.
One area where such need for ‘cooperative working’ among cooperatives and between cooperatives, Government and other stakeholders has been felt is the information and communication part. There is a need for a platform that can help spread timely and authentic information, promote informed discussion, network with others and connect cooperative producers with markets and consumers.
